Revamp Spotify’s Registration Flow for Mobile App & Web — UX Study Case
Spotify is one of the fastest-growing audio streaming and media services providers. No wonder so many people use Spotify. To increase customer satisfaction, an application or web needs to provide a good experience. One of the pages that must be visited by users when using applications or the web is the registration page. On this page, customers are generally asked for the data required for registration, such as name, email, telephone number, and others. In addition, users can also log-in if they already have an account. In general, users can use the ‘forgot password’ feature if the user forgets their password. Because this is a page that must be visited by users, a good impression and experience need to be created. Such as, a display that is easy to understand, interesting to see, and others. Therefore we have done a revamp on Spotify App & Web in the registration flow section.
Revamp Purpose
- Revamp the Spotify registration flow which is more efficient and easy to understand by users.
- Prioritizing ergonomics for users, so as to create a good experience when doing activities on the registration page.
The Result
Based on the results of the brainstorming that has been carried out, a design is formed that prioritizes the ease of understanding the user when registering. Like a simpler view, easy to understand, and distinguish text fields and buttons. This is so that the user is able to distinguish between the text field and the button. This redesign also makes the registration flow simpler and the display does not need to be scrolled down, in order to prioritize user comfort.
The following shows the overflow from the revamp results on the Spotify App and the Web. In addition, a prototype of the revamped results on the Spotify App and the Web is also displayed. Hopefully, this article is able to provide inspiration and we are also happy to learn other new things about UI / UX.
